Make Your Shower Special With Adorable Baby Shower Cupcakes

baby shower cupcakesHaving a baby not only means a new addition to the family, but it also involves a lot of planning! This is especially true for the baby shower. Well, in this article we will try to eliminate some of the stress of baby shower planning. If you are wondering what dessert to serve at your baby shower, then we are here to tell you that cupcakes are the perfect choice. So, all that’s left to do is decide how you’ll decorate your baby shower cupcakes.

Three adorable ideas for baby shower cupcakes

  • Boy or Girl Cupcakes – These boy or girl cupcakes are ideal for those who decided to wait until THE day to find out whether your baby is a boy or a girl. You will need blue and pink icing as well as sprinkles to decorate the cupcakes. Once they’ve cooled, place an even coat of the blue icing to half of the cupcake and pink icing on the other half. Then, make a onesie figure on the cupcake using the blue sprinkles for the pink side and the pink ones for the blue icing.
  • Name Surprise Cupcakes – If you’ve concealed your baby’s name and want to reveal it the day of your baby shower, make sure it is done in a special way. This way you get to see everyone’s reaction and everyone will remember your baby’s name. One way you can accomplish this is by decorating each cupcake with a letter of the baby’s name, but not in the correct order! Before anyone even eats their cupcake they’ll be trying to put together the letters in order to guess the name!
  • Baby Food Cupcakes – There is a twist to this type of cupcake, as they will be made by the guests not you! Ask your guests to bring a batch of cupcakes made with mashed fruits and/or veggies. Just include a special message along with the invitation. For example, they may bring cupcakes with mashed carrots or mashed banana. Your job will be to taste each of your guest’s baby food cupcakes blindfolded. Don’t worry, not everyone will be up for the challenge. You’ll then have to decide which one tastes the best. For encouragement, you can add that there is a small prize for the winner.

So you see, making baby shower cupcakes do not have to be complicated at all. You simply have to have an open mind, and be a little creative. After all, a baby shower is supposed to be fun, and a time to bond with your loved ones!

Wow these are really great ideas! I love the photo of the little booties on the cupcake! So adorable! I’m actually expecting baby number 2 so seeing the pink makes me think about how it could be a girl! You offer some really creative ideas. I love how the last option involves the momma to be tasting cupcakes to guess what’s inside! Thank you for sharing with us at Countdown in Style!
