Happy Veteran’s Day! 5 Places Veterans Eat Free
share small

November 11th , 2012 was the day set aside to thank all Veterans for their Military service.  Because Veteran’s Day fell on a Sunday this year, it will be observed Monday the 12th for many. Taking the opportunity to thank a Vet, is very important to our family. Mainly due to the fact that uniforms of the various Military branches have hung in the closets of nearly everyone in our clan! Our Grandpa, Sisters, Brothers, and 3 in- laws served in the United States Air Force. A brother-in-law and Uncle proudly served in the Navy, and countless family members adorned their chest with recognition of dedicated service in the US Army.  So, we usually celebrate by gathering together at one of our favorite restaurants that thank Vets by feeding them for free! My favorite Vet, The Hubby, Retired Air Force; loves a great buffet. So thankfully, we will head to our local Golden Corral to eat till we hurt.

  1. I love seeing restaurants supporting the people who fight for our country!

  2. I love that Veterans get a free meal on Veterans Day! My step-dad usually heads to Applebee’s for dinner because they have a special dinner menu (it’s 5-7 meals) that are all free for Veterans. That, and he always gets a free car wash :) My daughter was gone all day tomorrow, but we are heading up with a special card and some cupcakes for him today to say “Thank you” and let him know that we appreciate all he has done for the country.

  3. Great Info to know! Def going to share for all my veteran friends!

  4. I love that so many people support Veterans and the troops. Thanks for the list!

  5. I think it’s so great that companies offer these great freebies for our vets and current soldiers! I just wish we could do more for them!

  6. My mom is a veteran so I gave her a list of places she could get things for FREE this weekend and it made her really happy! Thank you for sharing.
